: Breakfast was very good, loction very good, staff mostly very pleasant, except one who check us in and out
: The person checking us in called me" not too smart" to book with booking.com, because she has to pay commission on booking.com. I think he said 20 percent, he said I should research the hotels when booking. com, then book. directly with the hotel, then he sent us to the dark and smelly room on the 4th floor, with the small window only, I went down and asked for the room I was promised to have, he m was given the key to the much better room with small balcony, which I happily accepted as it was the room I requested, but had to shout at him that I would have to pay for this room 100 euros more and then he tried to charge us 11 euros for breakfast. instead of 9, this whole "pleasent" encounter did not spoil my stay in Venice, but for sure I will not ever return to this hotel

: It was close to the ferry- even closer than google maps showed and walking distance to the Biennale, which was my reason for visiting. The receptionist was super helpful, charging my phone for me when my battery pack failed and good advice for local restaurants.
: I had requested a walk in shower, but only found out when I was there that single rooms only had baths. As it was a one-night stay, it wasnt a huge problem, but would have been, if Id been staying longer.
